The Union of Agricultural Works Committees contract Solutions to develop 27 business plans for benefitting Community Based Organizations CBOs. Through a participatory approach Solutions integrated the input of 27 CBOs – in Nablus, Bethlehem, and Hebron – into the business plans making them relevant to their business and economic context.

“Making Olive Oil Competitive through the Introduction of Local Chain Approach in the Occupied Palestinian Territory” Project – 2014
Solutions, in partnership with Al-Markaz for Development and Marketing Consultancies, conducted a market research of the olive oil market in the West Bank. The objective of this research was to gain an in-depth understanding of the Palestinian market of olive oil to enable UAWC’s management to develop a customer-centric marketing strategy. UAWC seeks to promote fair and equitable access to markets while optimizing the value added to the farmers.
Solutions and Al-Markaz utilized scientifically representative samples of olive farmers and other stakeholders. Consequently the market research derived a detailed description of the demand and supply, and analysed the value-chain of the olive oil industry. The research outcomes were used to formulate recommendations of indicators of possible income-generating marketing opportunities.
Three-year strategic plan for the Union of Agricultural Work Committees - 2011
Solutions conducted a full institutional building exercise with the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, reviewing their internal managerial structure and developing their functional role map, authority matrix, and detailed job descriptions. UWAC also contracted Solutions to develop a three-year strategic plan through facilitating strategic thinking and planning processes sessions.
